I started to write this post at the start of 2020 when I was living in Bali, before the world stood still. Now some time has passed, I feel like I can come back to it and share it with you! Have you ever questioned where your meant to be? Or what your meant to be doing in life?
Everything that you have experienced or gone through in life has lead you to this point, you are exactly where you need to be! Sometimes, things don't go to plan and it can be disheartening or you are unsure where you want to be right now (that's okay too).Keep the faith because in a year from now you will see your life has evolved, and the journey you have been on has brought you to this very point.
I used to hate it when people would say, "it wasn't meant to be". I thought it was a excuse for their failure/my failure and they should have tried harder. I thought it was them not taking responsibility. But I was looking at it the wrong way, instead of it meaning a negative thing, it means something positive, that there is more for you, that it's not the end goal.
Trust in the order of your life, everything is coming to you at the right time. Don't rush your spiritual evolution. If something hasn't worked the way you planned, this could be for 3 reasons:
1) It might mean there is more growth or self development to do in that area of your life, we will keep repeating patterns until we listen to what they are trying to tell us. From this we learn strength of character and to unblock past traumas or ideas of being unworthy.
2) Maybe something hasn't gone to plan because your meant to focus your attention in another area of your life. Sometimes we have so many tasks to do, our head is clouded and we get distracted from our path and take a detour. Sometimes things don't work out to make space for our ultimate path. How can we receive what we want without making space for it in our life. This helps filtering your attention to what you need to focus on.
3) It could be a test to see how much you actually want it. When we have to work hard to achieve or gain something, it normally brings greater gratitude and fulfilment when we receive it.
There are many situations in our life that we can't control, but we can choose how we spend each moment of the day. The key is to surrender to time and embrace the living moment!
Metaphor: It is only when we unpack the load we have been carrying that we realise how light the bag is, without the struggle we will never have gratitude. If the bag is always light how we will know such pleasure? We gain pleasure by knowing pain, just like yin and yang, we can not have one without the other.
Does it feel like you are behind?
Many of us think or feel we are falling behind, we have a sense that we haven't achieved or done as much as the next person. This gives us the opportunity to analyse our own personal development and time line. The truth is, there is no one right path, there is not one size fit all. We are all unique, having our own experience on this earth. The reason we have these thoughts is because we have become socially conditioned to compete, think we are not enough or have enough. Therefore we are constantly striving for more!!! Which takes our mind away from the present moment. The truth is you are enough and you are exactly where you need to be! Trust the process!
